AR Rahman’s Oscar winning song has made him world famous and since then the music composer has been receiving several prestigious offers from all the film industries across the globe.Oscar-winning music composer A R Rahman and former Sahitya Academy President Gopi Chand Narang will be conferred honorary doctorates of Aligarh Muslim University at its convocation here on June 7.

Governor of West Bengal Gopalkrishna Gandhi will be the chief guest at the annual convocation, a release issued by AMU PRO Rahat Abrar said.

Rahman created history by winning two Oscars in a row for his wonderful compostion in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire.
